Planned Giving

Launch Legacy Consulting was initially created as a fundraising solution for small to mid-sized nonprofits that desire to build a legacy giving program. Most nonprofit leaders recognize that we are in the midst of the greatest wealth transfer in history, but only large organizations have historically had the resources to develop a planned giving program. And yet, it is often the smaller community-based nonprofits that are touching and changing the most lives.

Nonprofits need someone “on their team” working beside them and their boards, having conversations with donors, handling planned giving questions, building out a strong program, and guiding the marketing of concepts to donors.

These observations—and a sincere desire to help nonprofit leaders and their donors—provided the spark for what is now Launch Legacy Consulting.

Key Planned Giving Services Include:

Working with Donors

Conduct face to face donor visits in your nonprofit’s community
Lead one-on-one or joint donor calls with legacy giving prospects
Answer planned giving questions that arise for staff or donors
Meet with Board members to discuss their personal legacy commitments

Strategy and Planning

Assist your nonprofit n in building out a planned giving program
Analyze prospect lists and provide strategy
Participate in development committee meetings and Board meetings
Host monthly strategy calls
Assist your organization in identifying planned gift opportunities
Advise in the development of cultivation and stewardship plans for planned gift donors

Coaching and Training

Provide staff and Board education and skills training
Offer donor-visit coaching
Present planned giving trainings in an open-forum style, via Zoom

Marketing

Work with development and marketing staff to design a planned giving marketing program
Provide monthly legacy emails that can be shared with donors or used for staff training (marketing, gift explanations, tax updates, etc.)
Strategize on fundraising opportunities tailored to the needs of your nonprofit
